Since 1981, Ms. Moody has worked as a professional insurance and financial services representative marketing a myriad of products from mutual funds to bonding. in 1998, she established Dehan Enterprises insurance & Financial services Agency, where she serves as managing general Agent. Prior to forming this agency, she was co-founder and Executive vice President of Diverse Capital Corporation, a premier financial services agency for over twelve years.
This highly energetic woman is a native of Chicago, illinois and has an MBA in Finance from Atlanta University School of Business Administration (now, Clark Atlanta), and a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Macalester College, located in St. Paul, minnesota. she is an Alumni of the Amos Tuck Minority Business Executive Program, a Life underwriter training Council Fellow and Certififed Long Term Care Specialist.
Ms. Moody spent the first eight years of her career experiencing and mastering all facets of the financial services industry. Her professional development included mutual funds sales, property and casualty insurance, both personal and commercial and total financial planning analysis. As a charismatic seminar leader, her current activities focus on Corporate and municipal Employee Benefits Planning, Commercial Accounts, Bond Programs, Voluntary Payroll Deduction Programs and Financial Literacy training.
She currently is an Adjunct Professor of Finance and Risk management at Franklin University, in Columbus, Ohio. she serves as President of the Isabelle Ridgeway Nursing Center, member of the Professional insurance Association, the National Association of African American insurance Agents, independent Distributor for usana health sciences and troop Leader of Junior girl scout troop #1476.
Ms. Moody has served as Financial Wisdom Columnist for Purpose magazine and Chair of the Columbus Equal business opportunity Commission. She recently received Ohio Govenor Strickland’s 2007 Keys to business success Award. Additionally she has served as trustee of the Columbus Life underwriters Association, was the 1996 recipient of the Cona Baldridge Mcnabb Business Woman of the Year Award, the 1997 Defense Community’s Carter G. Woodson Award, the 1997, 1998 and 2005 Ohio insurance institute’s Discussion Leader Award, the 2004 unCF stamps Alumni Award and listed in the 2001 through 2005, Who’s Who of black Columbus. she has been quoted in black Enterprises magazine and Essence magazine for her industry knowledge and has received numerous awards and recognitions for her industry and community service.
Ms. Moody is an active member of her church, the Friendship missionary baptist Church, were she serves as trustee, Financial secretary and a matron with the Youth Drill team. she is the proud mother of two daughters. |
